Ben has been a leader among his peers during his long career as an Assistant District Attorney, building a reputation for novel approaches to complex problems. From the Gun Prosecution Task Force, to the Boston Municipal Court, to the Unsolved Shooting Initiative, Ben was repeatedly selected to supervise, train, and lead prosecutors and other law enforcement members on case strategy, courtroom advocacy, and investigatory techniques. His supervision of Massachusetts’ busiest and most scrutinized criminal court required daily communication with the press staff and regular televised appearances in court. As a trial attorney Ben prevailed in cases involving shootings, homicides, drugs, domestic violence, and motor vehicle offenses.

Among his many successes was the coordination of a joint state and federal wiretap investigation codenamed Operation Whirlwind, which dismantled a large-scale international drug syndicate. His skills as an interrogator and his uncanny ability to find the truth led him to work extensively with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, and local law enforcement. His career is marked by innovation, discretion, and results.

Ben graduated from Bates College, magna cum laude, in 2004, where he played varsity football and varsity baseball.  He graduated from Suffolk University Law School, cum laude, in 2008, where he served on the Journal of High Technology Law.
