Jess Megee is a veteran litigator and appellate attorney who also advises organizations and companies as outside general counsel. He represents clients in cases involving personal injury, labor and employment matters, contract claims, and criminal allegations. Over the past decade he has tried dozens of criminal and civil cases in state and federal court.
As a former legal advisor for an organization with more than 3,000 employees, Jess has extensive experience managing internal investigations, filing and responding to lawsuits, conducting depositions, and advising litigants on complex regulatory and compliance issues.
Prior to joining Henning Strategies, Jess served as Assistant General Counsel to the Boston Police Department. He represented the City of Boston in state and federal court and appeared before administrative bodies including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (“MCAD”), the Massachusetts Civil Service Commission, the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (“Post”) and the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (“EEOC”).
Before joining the Boston Police Department, Attorney Megee conducted grand jury investigations and jury trials as a prosecutor in the Suffolk and Worcester County District Attorneys’ Offices. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at New England School of Law.
Education and Admissions
Attorney Megee is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans and Northeastern University School of Law where he was a member of the Northeastern Law Journal. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
